Its September...

Been a little occupied with work and other stuff lately to post much on this blog. Furthermore, with the overwhelming posts on hurricane Katrina, I really did not see the need to post all that often.

However, I do find the posts on the more political reaction to the hurricane to be the most disturbing. People on the right as well as the left seem to be intent on scoring political points on this one.

The fact is, I cannot think of a single reason that is justifiable to explain the deterioration of civilisation inside the City of Orleans. Irrespective of one’s ideology, how could anyone anticipate the complete breakdown of society? How do expect that your own citizens will shoot at convoys that are bringing in aid or removing the sick and the dying?

I know that there are people out there saying its because their poor and black. Wealth does not give someone notions of right and wrong…if you are poor…you still know it is wrong to shoot at the National Guard. If you are poor, you still know that it is wrong to rape. If you are poor, you still now that it is wrong…

Nothing can excuse this people that are operating outside the law in a time of need. Normally these times brings out the best in mankind…this time the worst.
